SpecSeal® LCC Firestop Collars – Intumescent Pipe Protection

SpecSeal® LCC Firestop Collars are factory-manufactured devices designed to protect plastic pipes penetrating fire-rated walls and floors. Ready-to-install and utilizing a heavy gauge galvanized metal collar housing a molded intumescent insert, these collars provide rapid expansion protection when exposed to fire, expanding up to 64 times original volume to form a dense, highly insulative char.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Rapid expansion – closes off burning pipes quickly with 32-64x volume expansion
  • Small profile design – fits in tight installation spaces
  • Flexible and durable – no loose flakes, eliminates eye hazards
  • Water resistant – no water soluble or hygroscopic ingredients
  • Economical solution – lower installed cost compared to alternatives
  • High volume char – expands up to 60 times for maximum protection
  • UL Certified – tested to ASTM E814 (UL1479) and CAN/ULC-S115 standards
  • Wide application range – suitable for multiple plastic pipe types
  • No shelf life limit – indefinite storage capability

Applications

  • Plastic pipe penetrations – PVC, CPVC, ABS, HDPE, PE, PP, FRPP, FRP, PVDF
  • Fire-rated walls and floors protection in commercial and residential buildings
  • Concrete construction – floors, walls, block walls, steel deck applications
  • Gypsum board walls and wood floor assemblies
