SpecSeal® Series SSC Firestop Collar is a factory-manufactured device designed to protect plastic pipes penetrating fire-rated walls and floors. Ready-to-install and utilizing a heavy gauge galvanized metal collar housing a molded intumescent insert, these collars provide rapid expansion protection when exposed to fire, expanding 32-64 times original volume to form a dense, highly insulative char that continues expanding up to 1,000°F (538°C).
