Product Description
The KM Setting Blocks are designed for glazing systems to provide stress relief as glass expands and contracts.
They evenly distribute glass weight, prevent shifting in glazing pockets, and maintain long-term stability in compression, structural, and wet glazing applications.
Available in EPDM, Silicone Compatible Rubber (SCR), and PVC variants, each block offers reliable load support with specific performance advantages.
Key Benefits
- EPDM Setting Block 80A – High tear strength (56.1 kN/m), tensile strength 15.3 MPa, wide brittleness temperature range (−50 °C), and excellent durability.
- SCR Setting Block 75 – Silicone-compatible with tensile strength 15.8 MPa, high elongation (373%), and strong tear resistance (44.9 kN/m). Ideal for use with silicone sealants.
- PVC Setting Block – Economical solution with tensile strength ≥13 MPa, elongation ≥250%, and brittleness temperature of −35 °C. Reliable for general glazing use.
- Stress Relief – Prevents glass breakage by absorbing load and expansion stress.
- Weather & Ozone Resistant – No cracks under accelerated ozone testing, ensuring long service life.
