KM Silicone Seal

KM Silicone Seal: Preformed Silicone Seal Sheet for Weatherproofing

KM Silicone Seal is a preformed silicone seal sheet — a low-modulus, translucent silicone membrane that seals transitions, board joints, and expansion joints, built to outlast wet-applied sealants in Singapore’s climate.

Product Overview

KM Silicone Seal is a preformed silicone seal sheet for weatherproofing applications, manufactured by Two Nine Six O Trading Pte Ltd (TNSO) in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality assurance system. It is resistant to UV radiation and extreme temperatures, and will not become brittle in cold conditions or soften under heat.

Functioning as a vapor (air) control layer and water-resistive barrier component, KM Silicone Seal is designed to bridge transitions between differing building materials — giving installers a durable, flexible alternative to hand-applied wet sealants at joints that are difficult to seal consistently.

Key Features & Benefits of This Silicone Seal Sheet

Performance

  • Silicone Durability — long-term resistance to natural weathering
  • Low Modulus — an extremely low-modulus alternative to wet sealants
  • Flexible — maintains flexibility at transition areas and board joints
  • Permeable — vapor-permeable, allowing the air/water barrier (AWB) system to breathe, not just the coated wall areas

Application

  • Silicone Compatibility — compatible with silicone-based sealants and performance coatings
  • Contact Verification — supplied in translucent white, allowing seamless visual confirmation of continuous seal contact during and after installation

Composition

  • Preformed elastomeric silicone rubber extrusion

Applications

KM Silicone Seal is excellent as:

  • Transition seal between differing and/or interfacing building materials, such as partition board-to-board joints, or the joint between concrete and an aluminium window frame
  • Weatherproof flexible flashing on openings with rough surfaces, sheathing joints, and terminations
  • Water-resistive barrier system between building expansion joints
  • Leak-free transition/flashing seal for silicone performance waterproofing coatings
  • Seal pad at miter joints between aluminium extrusions

For technical applications outside the above, contact a TNSO sales representative to review project-specific requirements.

Colours Available

KM Silicone Seal is available in Translucent White.

Why Choose KM Silicone Seal

  • Flexible sealant compatibility — works with silicone-based sealants and performance coatings generally, rather than being locked to a single proprietary sealant system
  • Built-in quality control — the translucent white finish lets installers visually verify continuous seal contact during application, reducing callbacks from incomplete seals
  • Manufactured to ISO 9001 — consistent quality assurance from production through to delivery
  • Locally stocked and supported — sourced and distributed by Two Nine Six O Trading Pte Ltd (TNSO), a Singapore-based specialty construction products distributor, with local technical support and faster turnaround than importing directly

Limitations & Technical Notes

KM Silicone Seal is not intended for use where frequent abrasion or physical abuse may be encountered, or for below-grade applications.

Customers considering the use of this material should review the latest Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and label for material safety information, handling instructions, personal protective equipment (if necessary), and any special storage conditions required. SDS are available upon request from any Two Nine Six O sales representative. KM Silicone Seal Sheet FAQs

What is KM Silicone Seal used for?
It’s a preformed silicone seal sheet used in weatherproofing — primarily as a transition and flashing seal at board joints, window-to-frame junctions, expansion joints, and other interfaces between different building materials.

What thicknesses and sizes are available?
Standard thickness is 0.5mm or 1mm, in rolls 500mm wide and 20 metres long. Custom sizes are available on request for larger or specialised projects.

Can KM Silicone Seal be used with any sealant?
It is compatible with silicone-based sealants and performance coatings. We recommend confirming compatibility with your specific sealant system with our technical team before installation.

How does the translucent colour help during installation?
The translucent white finish allows installers to visually confirm continuous, unbroken contact between the seal and the substrate — helping catch gaps or voids before they become leaks.

What temperature range can KM Silicone Seal withstand?
It performs across a service temperature range of −50°C to +200°C and resists UV radiation, so it will not become brittle in cold conditions or soften in heat.

Is KM Silicone Seal suitable for below-grade or high-abrasion applications?
No — it is not intended for use where frequent abrasion or physical abuse may occur, or for below-grade applications.

Where can I get technical or safety data on KM Silicone Seal?
Contact any TNSO sales representative for the current Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
